I am a self-taught amateur photographer. Photography adds an extra dimension to the things that interest and matter to me, and I am happy to share that. I shoot quite broadly, but I prefer the outdoors, especially the marine element. The sea, the coast, and maritime life have always drawn me in.
My exposure to the marine element began during childhood summers in the Turku Archipelago in the 70s. The crystal-clear waters, boat sheds, and the intoxicating scent of wooden boats made an indelible impression. That whole wonderful world was reflected in drawings on paper. The details of ships, boats, and the archipelago nature still come to mind today.
I have always enjoyed taking pictures. My understanding of the principles of photography began to take shape when I got my first "real" camera. It was a Minolta Dynax 7000i. Later came Canon Powershots, DSLRs, and now we are in the mirrorless era.
I have never been a fanatic nature photographer in the sense that I would rush to places like Utö to photograph a rare bird or travel north to wait for a bear from a hide. Those are certainly great experiences, but they're not really my thing. I am more of a traveler on my own path.
You might come across my works in the taverns of Korppoo. Additionally, I often showcase my photos at the Helsinki Boat Show. I will announce these on social media, so be sure to follow the link for updates.
From the Print Shop, you can order high-quality, locally made decorative prints directly to your home. I also photograph on request and provide unique photographic surfaces. My images have been published in fishing, skiing, shipping, and boating media.
Feel free to call or send an email, and we can discuss how I can assist you.
